This guidance document is intended to be a resource for states, districts, schools, and teachers as they reopen schools safely and support students

CDC recommends that people wear cloth face coverings in public settings and when around people who don’t live in your household, especially when other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain.

This guidance will help IHE and their partners understand how to help prevent the transmission of COVID-19 among students, faculty, and staff.

The following study examines 67 disrupted plots against K-12 schools and highlights the importance of proactive reporting and intervention. 

As your school resumes in-person learning during the COVID-19 pandemic – whether for the first time or following an outbreak – this page can help you identify ways to protect your own health, as well as the health of students in your classroom.

Teachers are encouraged to work with administrators and other school staff (e.g., custodians or janitors) to modify the layout of their classroom in a way that promotes healthy behaviors, environments, and operations that reduce the risk of COVID-19.
