This webpage provides materials to assist businesses, government offices, schools, and communities in preparing for and responding to an active shooter incident. Resources cover issues such as a profile of an active shooter; responding to an active shooter or other violence situation; training for an active shooter situation and creating an emergency action plan; and tips for recognizing signs of potential violence. Resources are available in 16 different languages.

This training is for school administrators, law enforcement, and state officials, and covers Continuity of Operations (COOP) Functional Annex, or “COOP Annex.” When you are finished with this course, you will be able to define and explain the purpose of the COOP Annex, identify the types of circumstances that lead to COOP Annex activation and develop a COOP Annex.
