This research talk will discuss two decades of research on bullying and other forms of youth violence. Innovative efforts to address bullying, sexual violence, and school violence will also be highlighted. 

This is the second of two webinars that will prepare applicants for Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) funding opportunities. Prior to the release of a solicitation, there are a number of steps that applicants can take. In this webinar, attendees will learn what registrations are necessary to apply, how to navigate Grants.gov and JustGrants, and what resources are available for applicants, such as the Office of Justice Programs’ Funding Resource Center. A Q&A session will follow at the end of the presentation.

This virtual event will explore a variety of approaches schools and communities are taking to educate students on the risks of fentanyl. School and district practitioners as well as community-based organizations working with schools to prevent and address fentanyl use will facilitate the event.

This virtual Q&A will provide an opportunity for users to learn about general JustGrants navigation, first-time user access, adding users and how to confirm that an account was successfully created, assigning users’ roles to awards, reassigning users or adding new users to an entity, and how to complete actions within JustGrants.

Caretakers and adults who work with youth are invited to attend this webinar to hear from experts to learn how to talk to youth about online safety, gain knowledge of human trafficking trends and how they affect the youth population, and increase awareness of available government resources for youth victims and individuals working with youth.
