Indiana Office of School Safety
The Office of School Safety is responsible for school safety specialist training and certifications, and it supports Indiana schools' safety efforts in a variety of ways by establishing and maintaining guidelines on school facility security, emergency response protocols and school safety plans.
Physical Building Safety and Security
Indiana Department of Homeland Security provides guidance from state and national agencies to help ensure school buildings are protected and individual classrooms have safeguards that can be implemented in the event of an emergency.

Secured School Safety Grant Program
The Indiana Secured School Safety Grant provides matching grants to Indiana school districts across the state to address potential safety threats and help them prepare.

Indiana Secured School Safety Grant
The SSSG program is an allocated state fund that provides matching grants to school corporations, accredited non-public schools, charter schools and coalitions of school corporations. SSSG funds may be used to employ an SRO, conduct site vulnerability assessments, or purchase safety equipment/materials/technology.
Advances from the Common School Fund
A school corporation or charter school who has applied for and been awarded a matching grant from the Indiana Secured School Fund may apply for an advance from the Common School Fund.
