Indiana Office of School Safety

Indiana Department of Homeland Security

The Office of School Safety is responsible for school safety specialist training and certifications, and it supports Indiana schools' safety efforts in a variety of ways by establishing and maintaining guidelines on school facility security, emergency response protocols and school safety plans.

Indiana Secured School Safety Grant

The SSSG program is an allocated state fund that provides matching grants to school corporations, accredited non-public schools, charter schools and coalitions of school corporations. SSSG funds may be used to employ an SRO, conduct site vulnerability assessments, or purchase safety equipment/materials/technology.
